Travel eSIM APN settings: when you need them and where to enter them
Most travel eSIMs need no APN at all: on iPhone it sets itself on 344 of our 348 products. On Android, 107 products need it by hand, including the Gulf plans for Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain (catalogue, 15 Oct 2026). If your eSIM shows bars but no internet, check this after Data Roaming and the data line.
Do you need to set an APN? Usually not
For 241 of 348 products the APN is automatic on both iPhone and Android (15 Oct 2026). The eSIM APN settings (APN = Access Point Name) tell your phone how to reach the network’s internet. On those plans you install the eSIM, switch on Data Roaming for it, and the phone connects. Enter an APN only where the table below says Manual.
Android plans with a manual APN: the Gulf, Turkey, the USA, Nepal
On Android, 107 of 348 products need a manual APN, in 65 destinations of our catalogue (15 Oct 2026). By destination:

Enter the APN on Android
Find the eSIM APN settings at Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names (APN). That is the path our order page shows when a plan needs it. Installing the eSIM itself is in the Android install guide. On other Android brands, look for Access Point Names in the mobile network settings; we have not collected the menu path for each brand.
We do not print APN values here. Open your order page from the e-mail and check it for the value. If none is shown, email support@esimgo.ae with your country and phone model. After you save the APN, switch flight mode on for 10 seconds and off. Still no internet? Run the other checks in eSIM not working abroad.
iPhone: automatic except three countries
On iPhone the APN is manual only for Colombia, Panama and Venezuela (15 Oct 2026); there it is manual on Android too. Everywhere else the iPhone sets it itself. We have no verified iPhone menu path for entering one by hand, so for those three countries check your order page and write to support@esimgo.ae if no value is shown.

Where do I enter the APN on Android?
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Access Point Names (APN). On other brands, look for Access Point Names in the mobile network settings. We have not collected the path for every brand.
My eSIM is connected but there is no internet. Is it the APN?
Check Data Roaming and the data line first. If you are on Android in a manual-APN country, enter the APN from your order page. If no value is shown, email support@esimgo.ae with your country and phone model.
